I can't let them find out.

So, this is a bit different. I've been trying to think of a good background story for Shockwave for simply AGES. It's not official yet, and I would like some feedback, but here's what I've got so far.
Shockwave was alive when the Crystal Ponies went under the control of King Sombra. She wasn't a crystal pony, but she was around. She was put under a light spell ((you know how King Sombra's eyes glow and stuff yeah? Kinda like that)) and she became nothing but a bunch of light particles held together by an invisible force. Invisible to everypony, she left to the moon, where Luna was, and for 999 years, she was the evening glow of the sunset ((in RP, Shockwave's mane and tail will sometimes become purple and pink fire, which is the remains of the curse)). Remember the pink flame heart of friendship? Courtesy of her. After Luna's banishment, she was turned back to normal by Luna, who was sworn to secrecy to never tell anypony who Shockwave really was.
